How do writers get into the slick, bright world of marketing?

"Marketing," "advertising," "content strategy," "strategic communication." The terms often blur together when you are a writer in the industry. From quick, informative social media posts to on-bn-on-brand storytelling, good writers are always in high demand in marketing and strategic communication. Often aspiring writers start out as copy editors in publishing or higher education. Bachelor's degrees in English, Journalism, or Communications are usually preferred. Eventually, after a few short years of obsessing over the Oxford comma and em dashes, you can spread your wings and go into copy writing.
